Convention 2017 Memories...
Convention is now just a memory, but this one is is convention for the books - not just because we unveiled a new idea book, but because we learned a lot. Again, not just because of all the new product news or just the new techniques. When it all boils down, we have played with our card stock and some of these techniques for many years in the same way we just throw a new "wrinkle" on it. Literally - and we have fun with it. One of the biggest lesson I have learned this year, is to tell really - really tell my story.
You will learn much more about this in the future, because we will all learn about it more in the future. Our "own" Stacy Julian will come back to Close to my Heart or should I say, has come back to us. I remember, the first time I met her back in the '90s (ha). We learned together (I think I have a picture of her booth...). She moved on to bigger and better things one might say. But we all do what we think our paths are and what makes us happy.
We always think as we scrapbook, our stories need to be big. Or that as we tell our stories, we need to scrapbook - no, just record - record your story! Your memory does not last forever. If you do not record for anyone else - you will enjoy seeing and reading about something you did or experienced 5, 10 or even 20 years ago. Record it, somehow.
Now here are some photos from convention.
Friendships I have made 23 years ago!
Jeannette Lynton and part of her family - we were very excited to see her and hear her story.
Jo, Linda and myself - we have been to a number of conventions together as the ScrappingbeeBee Team. Now Linda's team is growing as the Crafty Divas - I could not be more happy for her and her success!
Yes, I am excited - have been for over 23 years - and I did not even plan to match my pants to the color in the background .... :)
Next are some pictures from our Home Office Tour:
The last picture is of my team that was in attendance at the convention - we are growing! Next year we will be at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas - plan to join us there!
Yes, that is me with Alex Boye - we had a party at the end of the convention. We always do - we do know how to have a good time :).
Of course, I only shared a few pictures with you, I could have shown lots more - like artwork! But, much of the artwork is not mine, so I would have had permission. However, I will soon share some of my own with some of the new products as a sneak peek - so stay tuned.
Hope you have enjoyed a little bit of my story, at least my story of convention. For now have a great day and happy creating!
Margit

Hello and thank you for stopping by!
This is my first attempt on a blog - can you tell? I am sure you can. From what I have learned about blogs they are like an online journal and you are getting a peak into my soul ...
At this time I am trying to learn how to post my artwork with watermark and copyright and all that jazz -but I a, learning. My plan is to post my work and along with it I will explain what I used and how I made the project.
As we go along, I will also give you a peak into my life. I will share some pictures of my family, places we have been, places we have visited. So, please come back and visit often. Just know, that I am very new to this blogging thing! So, at this time - any help you can give me is highly appreciated in growing my skills in "blogging".
If you live close to me and you would like to join me in my craft place or one my crops please, check my calendar for any upcoming workshops!
