November Card Buffet

I will have a session at 10 am and one at 7 pm.

Focus on Birthday and holiday sentiment cards, I might have a Thank You sentiment in there as well! I will have:

8-10 card or project designs. Make as many cards as you would like from any or all of the designs for $2 each. I will have cards designed, you can make them whatever sentiment you would like or need to replenish your card stash. The cards are pre-cut, you just put the cards together as per the instructions. Don't worry, I will help if you are not sure about any techniques.

If you would like to bring your unfinished scrapbook projects and work on them, you are welcome as well. I will be more than happy to give assistance to you.

This month I will have all new products for you to enjoy and I want to make room with some of my retired items and they are priced to move!

Special: Place a $30 order and get 3 cards for FREE!

Anyone who completes 10 cards will get a special price!

Bonus: Bring a friend that is new to stamping and get a prize! If you are a new stamper to me, you will also get a prize!

Please RSVP, so I can ensure to have enough supplies on hand for you.

Physical Cricut Cartridges to Retire

Provo Craft has recently made the decision to discontinue production of physical Cricut® cartridges. CTMH has attempted to secure enough inventory of the You Are Here collection to last us through the duration of our Annual Inspirations 2017–2018 idea book, but effective immediately, all Cricut® Collections that include a physical cartridge are available while supplies last.

CTMH has made every effort to preserve this product offering for as long as possible.  CTMH has been aware that eventually physical cartridges would be phased out in favor of the digital business model, and have been taking steps to make the transition easier. CTMH has introduced digital-only collections as a way to encourage our customer base to make the switch; CTMH has also introduced a Cricut® Explore Air 2 hostess bundle as an incentive for Consultants and customers alike to upgrade their Cricut® machines. Recently, we even started to include image numbers in our artwork recipes to make it easier to locate images in Design Space.

Tutorial videos are in the works that will help our customers learn more about how to use Design Space and the newer Cricut® machines. We all understand it can be challenging to learn a new system, but also recognize the benefits that come from using the newer machines, including greater control over the creative process and increased flexibility in working Cricut® shapes into your artwork. Though we are sorry to see our physical cartridges go, we are excited about the possibilities available with our digital collections.

I remember 8-tracks going and cassettes being introduced ~ Then cassettes leave and the CD is the latest greatest...Now Pandora Etc.  SO, as we embrace the new Digital Cartridges, its a whole new world!!!!  I am just learning AND Trust Me I am loving it!!!!  I know, you may have concerns about not being able to be online all the time. You now are able to work offline with your designs as well. That is a huge improvement! There are a lot of fun things you can create - let me show you how!

Please contact me to order your CTMH Cricut Cartridges NOW while stock is available:  llanghammer.ctmh.com    cricut-collections.asp

Convention 2017 memories

Convention 2017 Memories...

Convention is now just a memory, but this one is is convention for the books - not just because we unveiled a new idea book, but because we learned a lot. Again, not just because of all the new product news or just the new techniques. When it all boils down, we have played with our card stock and some of these techniques for many years in the same way we just throw a new "wrinkle" on it. Literally - and we have fun with it. One of the biggest lesson I have learned this year, is to tell really - really tell my story.

You will learn much more about this in the future, because we will all learn about it more in the future. Our "own" Stacy Julian will come back to Close to my Heart or should I say, has come back to us. I remember, the first time I met her back in the '90s (ha). We learned together (I think I have a picture of her booth...). She moved on to bigger and better things one might say. But we all do what we think our paths are and what makes us happy.

We always think as we scrapbook, our stories need to be big. Or that as we tell our stories, we need to scrapbook - no, just record - record your story! Your memory does not last forever. If you do not record for anyone else - you will enjoy seeing and reading about something you did or experienced 5, 10 or even 20 years ago. Record it, somehow.

Now here are some photos from convention.

Friendships I have made 23 years ago!
Jeannette Lynton and part of her family - we were very excited to see her and hear her story.
Jo, Linda and myself - we have been to a number of conventions together as the ScrappingbeeBee Team. Now Linda's team is growing as the Crafty Divas - I could not be more happy for her and her success!

Yes, I am excited - have been for over 23 years - and I did not even plan to match my pants to the color in the background .... :)

Next are some pictures from our Home Office Tour:

The last picture is of my team that was in attendance at the convention - we are growing! Next year we will be at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas - plan to join us there!

Yes, that is me with Alex Boye - we had a party at the end of the convention. We always do - we do know how to have a good time :).

Of course, I only shared a few pictures with you, I could have shown lots more - like artwork! But, much of the artwork is not mine, so I would have had permission. However, I will soon share some of my own with some of the new products as a sneak peek - so stay tuned.

Hope you have enjoyed a little bit of my story, at least my story of convention. For now have a great day and happy creating!

Margit

Hello and thank you for stopping by!

This is my first attempt on a blog - can you tell? I am sure you can. From what I have learned about blogs they are like an online journal and you are getting a peak into my soul ...

At this time I am trying to learn how to post my artwork with watermark and copyright and all that jazz -but I a, learning. My plan is to post my work and along with it I will explain what I used and how I made the project.

As we go along, I will also give you a peak into my life. I will share some pictures of my family, places we have been, places we have visited. So, please come back and visit often. Just know, that I am very new to this blogging thing! So, at this time - any help you can give me is highly appreciated in growing my skills in "blogging".

If you live close to me and you would like to join me in my craft place or one my crops please, check my calendar for any upcoming workshops!
