Look what we made!

Last Friday was a fun evening! I met with a wonderful group of ladies for the first time! We decided, we will do it again - if you live in the Winter Garden, Florida area - you are invited to join us. Check out the Meetup section for the ScrappingBee group and you will find us :)

They learned some great new techniques and we made new friends - what more can you ask on a Friday evening?

We used the current May SOM, You've Got a Friend. I used the Stella background paper, but the Ariana background paper would have been just as beautiful! I also used the following cardstock:

Outdoor Denim, Crystal Blue, Creme Brulee, Chocolate

I used the following inks: Black and Bamboo. When you use black to stamp, you want to use bamboo first on your acrylic stamp to protect your stamp. It will not stain quite as bad. Then go into the black ink pad. Clean the stamp right away. Either way - just consider your stamps "well loved" if they get stained :)

For embellishments I used the topiary ribbon, sparkles, washi tape, 3-d tape and other embellments.

Of course, I used our trusted Artiste cartridge to help me cut out some of the shapes. The Cuddlebug helped me with the dry embossing! Whew - I may have missed a few things. Oops - almost forgot to thank one of my important tools - Make it from the Heart! If you do not have one of those How to books - you want to get one. I have been with Close to my Heart for over 20 years and I still use them. Maybe I use them, because I have been with them for that long ... I don't know. Either way, I love those books as a reference. A great starting point for your designs.

Let me know if you need a place to start and I will be glad to help you! Have fun crafting and stamping!

Papers and Albums - what more do you want?

National Scrapbooking Month is in full swing! Here is an image of the papers you can get only this month - do not miss your chance. Once the packets are gone, they are gone.

An update on our albums. We finally have our damask albums in stock - Yeah! Of course, they are so popular, you want to get them as we get the supplies in. They will run out periodically. We will restock on a regular basis. So, if you want to get your album now - don't delay :)

Currently, the Dark Cranberry album (Z1343) and the Hollyhock album (Z1344) are the lowest in stock, with an outage of the Dark Cranberry likely within the week. At current sales levels, stock of the Hollyhock album is anticipated to last through mid-June. Both the Dark Chocolate (Z1342) and the Outdoor Denim (Z1346) may experience a brief backorder in May as the last of our material is manufactured into completed albums. Once all the completed albums are manufactured, we will have a large enough inventory of these two colors to easily last through the current Idea Book’s season ending July 31, 2014.
