Convention 2017 memories

Convention 2017 Memories...

Convention is now just a memory, but this one is is convention for the books - not just because we unveiled a new idea book, but because we learned a lot. Again, not just because of all the new product news or just the new techniques. When it all boils down, we have played with our card stock and some of these techniques for many years in the same way we just throw a new "wrinkle" on it. Literally - and we have fun with it. One of the biggest lesson I have learned this year, is to tell really - really tell my story.

You will learn much more about this in the future, because we will all learn about it more in the future. Our "own" Stacy Julian will come back to Close to my Heart or should I say, has come back to us. I remember, the first time I met her back in the '90s (ha). We learned together (I think I have a picture of her booth...). She moved on to bigger and better things one might say. But we all do what we think our paths are and what makes us happy.

We always think as we scrapbook, our stories need to be big. Or that as we tell our stories, we need to scrapbook - no, just record - record your story! Your memory does not last forever. If you do not record for anyone else - you will enjoy seeing and reading about something you did or experienced 5, 10 or even 20 years ago. Record it, somehow.

Now here are some photos from convention.

Friendships I have made 23 years ago!
Jeannette Lynton and part of her family - we were very excited to see her and hear her story.
Jo, Linda and myself - we have been to a number of conventions together as the ScrappingbeeBee Team. Now Linda's team is growing as the Crafty Divas - I could not be more happy for her and her success!

Yes, I am excited - have been for over 23 years - and I did not even plan to match my pants to the color in the background .... :)

Next are some pictures from our Home Office Tour:

The last picture is of my team that was in attendance at the convention - we are growing! Next year we will be at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas - plan to join us there!

Yes, that is me with Alex Boye - we had a party at the end of the convention. We always do - we do know how to have a good time :).

Of course, I only shared a few pictures with you, I could have shown lots more - like artwork! But, much of the artwork is not mine, so I would have had permission. However, I will soon share some of my own with some of the new products as a sneak peek - so stay tuned.

Hope you have enjoyed a little bit of my story, at least my story of convention. For now have a great day and happy creating!

Newsflash: Colors Retiring in 2015 and more!

Convention was a blast! I will post some pictures soon - in fact if you follow me on facebook, you will have seen some of my pictures already :)

I did want to let you know that we will have a "blast" of new colors this year to stay on trend with new colors. The new colors will be in the Enchantment family of colors:

Smokey Plum
Outdoor Denim
Indian Corn Blue
Ponderosa Pine
Olive
Autumn Terracotta
Barn Red

The card stock, ink, reinkers in these colors will all retire - but never fear we will introduce some wonderful new colors to take their place.

I can not even tell you all the wonderful things we will have in store for you come September 1 - really, I can't tell you yet.

However - come August 1 - you can order one of the items we will introduce early - drumroll, please:

you will have wait and see, won't you :)...

until then - don't miss all the wonderful specials we have going on right now, like:

  • While Supplies Last
  • The Retirement List
  • Studio J Flashsale
  • This Month's Stamp set special
  • You cannot loose!

Did you see the Flashsale?

Check out the details now on the flashsale for Studio J! Normally, the layout is $6.95 through July 31 you only pay $5 per layout. If you have not tried it out yet, this is the best time to play with the program. Remember, you get the jpeg free when you purchase a layout. You can then use those jpegs and get books at shutterfly or anywhere you want, if you want to have books printed and share - if that is what you would like. You keep the big layouts :)

Until the next time - have a wonderful day :)

July Specials with Close To My Heart

Happy July! I love July. Don't you? It's full of picnics, patriotism, and perfect family time.  It's also the month I get to go to the Close To My Heart Annual Convention in Disneyland this year.  I'll be leaving in a few days, and I'll have soooooo much to share with you when I return, but in the meantime we can't forget what's happening RIGHT NOW.  You know, the specials for July that begin today and run throughout the month.  They're so great, I dare say that you'll feel like a firework exploding when you read about them.  It makes me think of that Katy Perry song:  "Baby, You're a Firework!"  I digress.

Here we go....
1.  Jump On It July
2.  July Stamp of the Month
3.  New "While Supplies Last" Items Added to My Website
4.  Retiring Items

-----------------

1. Jump On It July:

During the month of July, when you purchase $25 in current, retail priced stamps, you qualify to receive either the July Stamp of the Month, My Acrylix® Life Is Wonderful, FREE ($17.95 value!) or any one of the Hostess Rewards stamp sets featured in Annual Inspirations 2014–2015 (seen on pages 5-10)  or Seasonal Expressions 2 for only $5 (pages 4-5...up to $17.95 in value)!

The July Stamp of the Month is a lovely, versatile stamp set that is a great match for your cards and layouts that celebrate all the wonderful things—big and small—that life has to offer.

Additionally, the Hostess Rewards stamp sets have previously only been available as part of the Hostess Rewards program, which means now is the perfect opportunity to get those special stamp sets you’ve had your eye on  (see photos of all of these sets here)!

To get your FREE stamp set or your $5 USD Hostess Rewards stamp set, simply place an order for $25 of any current, retail priced stamps.  Spend $50 on stamp sets and qualify for 2 sets, and so on. This offer is available only during the month of July and applies only to the July Stamp of the Month and current Hostess rewards stamp sets, so spring into action and jump on this deal before it’s gone!

When ordering on my website, you'll be prompted to add your free or $5 set(s) before you check out. Once you've ordered at least $25 in stamp sets, you'll see this message at the top of your screen:

When you see that, click on the "Jump on it July" link and it will take you to this screen where you'll choose your FREE and/or $5 set(s).  Note: this screen shot doesn't show all of your options.  These are just some of the sets you can choose from. When on this screen yourself, you'll be able to scroll up and down and see all of them.

2.  July Stamp of the Month:  I created the card you see at the top of this post with the July Stamp of the Month and you'll be seeing artwork featuring this set throughout the month right here on my blog.

As always, the Stamp of the Month is only available that month, and is only $5 ($12.95 savings) with every $50 you spend. Spend $100, get 2...and so on. And, this month, you can get it FREE (see information in #1 above).  When ordering on my website, you'll be prompted to add your set(s) before you check out.

3.  New "While Supplies Last" Items Added to My Website:

"While Supplies Last" items are exactly as they are named. They are in limited supply and steeply discounted.  New items have been added in the last week so get 'em while you can. You can see them all here.

4.  Retiring Items:

With our brand new catalog coming out September 1, we are retiring lots of awesome products to make room for the new. These items are only available through August 31, or while supplies last...whichever comes first.  Be sure to check them out and get the things you just can't live without while you still can. You can see and purchase all of the retiring items here.

In the meantime, I would like to thank Karen, my upline, for letting me use her beautiful artwork or this blogpost. She always produces such wonderful artwork, she is always a great inspiration for all of us. We have been in a working relationship for over 20 years now! Wow! We are looking forward to seeing each other again at convention! Yeah!

Be sure to stay tuned for more soon - I am catching up from being out from my Boy scout camp ... :)

Take care,

Margit

Hello and thank you for stopping by!

This is my first attempt on a blog - can you tell? I am sure you can. From what I have learned about blogs they are like an online journal and you are getting a peak into my soul ...

At this time I am trying to learn how to post my artwork with watermark and copyright and all that jazz -but I a, learning. My plan is to post my work and along with it I will explain what I used and how I made the project.

As we go along, I will also give you a peak into my life. I will share some pictures of my family, places we have been, places we have visited. So, please come back and visit often. Just know, that I am very new to this blogging thing! So, at this time - any help you can give me is highly appreciated in growing my skills in "blogging".

If you live close to me and you would like to join me in my craft place or one my crops please, check my calendar for any upcoming workshops!
