January 2016 Charlotte Card workshop

Charlotte Card Workshop Cards - Beautiful!

Charlotte is one of the most beautiful paper packs I have worked with! I just love it! The ladies who came to my workshop agreed with me - they also loved working our new thin cuts - I let them play the Cuttlebug. They also got to work with our new Watercolors and they agreed that our Watercolors are very vibrant.

All of the images were stamped after I cute them out. The ink does not run as easy. It is your choice, however, what look you would like to have. If you do not want the color to go passed the lines. Color your image in after you cut and stamp.

Embellishments placed in the right spot will help your work to "shine" just in the right way. Also, as you color your image, you may want to choose different colors for leaves to make sure they do not all look the same or show highlights in your flowers.

Of course, you can always go back in after to add highlights on your flowers - as I did to my flower. Use those 3-D dots to gain more highlights. I did not cut the leaves, I stamped those directly on the paper and painted them in. If you look closer onto the ribbon - I just tied the knot and glued it onto the ribbon with Liquid Glass. Whatever would I do without Liquid Glass!?!

Hello and thank you for stopping by!

This is my first attempt on a blog - can you tell? I am sure you can. From what I have learned about blogs they are like an online journal and you are getting a peak into my soul ...

At this time I am trying to learn how to post my artwork with watermark and copyright and all that jazz -but I a, learning. My plan is to post my work and along with it I will explain what I used and how I made the project.

As we go along, I will also give you a peak into my life. I will share some pictures of my family, places we have been, places we have visited. So, please come back and visit often. Just know, that I am very new to this blogging thing! So, at this time - any help you can give me is highly appreciated in growing my skills in "blogging".

If you live close to me and you would like to join me in my craft place or one my crops please, check my calendar for any upcoming workshops!

A scrapbooker's quilting bee!
