Subject: News from Close to my Heart June 2015  CLOSE TO MY HEART Dear Margit, Hi there, the Taste of Summer special is over - if you missed getting some of those delicious papers - never fear! I still have a few paper packs left. If you hurry, you can still get one, contact me now! It is June - that means July is right on its heal and I will be going to Disneyland! Yes, I was able to score a couple of tickets from a wonderful friend for free, but the exciting news is I will also score new exciting products from Close to my Heart again! I will return with lots of great new ideas, the new book - but you, my friends will have to wait until August! The only way you can get a peak at the new toys earlier is to sign up as a consultant (ha). This month I will keep busy with going to boyscout camp - yes, you read that right - right after I teach my card class. Then off to convention and I will have another workshop. Retiring Items 2014-2015 Get them while you can!

We just got word of the new list of retiring items for this year - the sad thing we will say good bye to lots of great products. The good news is - we will be seeing lots of great new things with our new book coming in August - did I mention, I will get see much of it at convention in July? I can't wait!

At any rate you can see many of the retiring items on my website and remember - its while supplies last. When they are gone, they are gone!

Upcoming July Workshop

June 23, 7 pm,  we will make some fun summer cards.   We will be using the Blossom card kit. If you would like to use your own kit, you can order it ahead from my website. We normally make at least 3 project. We will see how many projects we can fit into our time!

All good plans.. you know that saying. We were supposed to have this workshop in June, but we actually had to postpone this workshop until July. So, hope you can make it this month. So, if you have not ordered this kit - don't delay! Some of our kits are going out of stock!

The fee will be $10, that will cover the supplies for the cards and the fee for the meetup group and me pre-cutting the projects. So, please if you RSVP, let me know if you cannot make at least a day in advance, thank you.
Please RSVP as soon as possible to hold your spot, I always have several people attend who are not part of the meetup group (Scrappingbee meetup group),  thanks. Space is limited - I already have several  people who said, they want to come! Please let me know if you prefer a morning or evening class - I may add a morning class if I have enough interest for it.
Please let me know if you would like me to add a scrapbooking class as well. Several people have expressed an interest in that. I will also need to know if you will be available in the morning or evening.

If you do not have any of the items below, please contact me and I can help you get them either ordered or let you know which of the items we will use that evening. Check my website for the items you may want to stock your toolbox with :).

Your basic tool kit for scrapbook or card classes should be:

Scissors
favorite adhesive: tombow style adhesive, glue dots, glue pen
foam mounting tape
12" trimmer
bone folder

ruler
pencil

cutting mat
exacto knife
tweezers
piercing tool
sponging and sanding tool
corner rounder
We may not always use all of these items, but its a good thing to have these items in your "tool box". You can always order additional items at my website before you come to class :) and  I always have extra supplies on hand, but things will go smoother if you have your own items with you. I will have all the other supplies for you like paper, embellishments, etc.

May 2015  CLOSE TO MY HEART Dear Margit, Hi there, It is May! Spring is springing in all kinds of different places. Here in Florida, we have had spring for a while now! Hopefully, in your neck of the woods, you are warming up as well. I just want to wish all the mothers - Happy Mother's Day! Although, my mother has passed on - I always remember her. She will always be a part of me. She has been my best friend and taught me so much. All I can hope for is that I can share just a little bit of that with others, her kindness, her selflessness, her happiness, her love for others. So, if you still have a mother - do not forget to hug her! Do it for me, thanks! Of course, towards the end of the month, we will remember those who fought for our freedom - I married one of those soldiers. I stood by his side for 36 years as he served. He is retired now, missing a little bit of himself. His heart grew by quite a bit - you cannot help yourself, going through the things these soldiers go through as they are on the battle field.
